Professional services described as Davis™, Davis Dyslexia Correction®, Davis Symbol Mastery®, Davis Orientation Counseling®, Davis Math Mastery® and Davis Learning Strategies® may only be provided by persons who are employed by a licensed Davis Specialist, or who are trained and licensed as Davis Facilitators by Davis Dyslexia Association International®.

The Program: A four part process:

1. The Assessment (dyslexia testing):

 

This is the first step in the process, and it will determine if a client is a suitable candidate for the program. The assessment takes about an hour and a half to two hours. 2. The Program:

This is a concentrated, one on one, one week program. It is normally conducted from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Many short breaks are taken throughout the day as needed for snacks, rest periods, and to enjoy significant successes. Lunch breaks are usually from 12:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. every day.

The client should be well rested and personally motivated and willing to participate fully in the program.

3. Support Training:

On the last day of the program, there will be support training for a tutor, teacher, or family members who will continue the ongoing work with the various skills and tools the client established during the program week.

4. After the Program:

Follow up support is also included as part of this program. Dyslexia Solutions of Northern California will provide unlimited telephone consultations and reasonable follow up visits as needed.
